Lenny Mayorga
Battalion Chief
City of North Las Vegas
Battalion Chief Mayorga has served the City of North Las Vegas as an employee with the NLVFD since 1985. He has served the majority of his career with the NLVFD as a fire Captain until 2006, at which time he was promoted to Battalion Chief over the Training Division.
Throughout his career, Battalion Chief Mayorga has continually been involved in giving back to the community by being involved in a variety of organizations and events. His volunteer activities have included participation in the United Way, Clark County School District PAYBAC, and mentoring programs, coaching of youth sports, presentation of fire safety lessons to a variety of audiences, assistance with the Fire Explorers program for the NLVFD, and many other endeavors.
Battalion Chief Mayorga was born and raised in the Las Vegas area since 1958. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with an associate’s degree in architectural engineering and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He received his associate’s degree in fire science from the College of Southern Nevada and currently teaches fire science courses as an adjunct instructor for the College of Southern Nevada.
