The Training Division is responsible for the on-going classroom and
hands-on training of fire personnel. This includes new hires which requires the cadet to enter an 18 week rigorous fire academy. This academy includes, but is not limited to, the following curriculum:
* Basic firefighter skills
* Hazardous Materials
* Emergency Medical Services
* Physical Fitness
* Nevada Firefighter I and II Certification
Additional programs and training include Captain Certification Academy, Driver Operator Certification Academy, and other current and on-going training requirements facing the fire service.
