Assistant Fire Chief - Community Life Safety
The Fire Prevention Division works closely with the City’s Permit Application Center and Business License Division in providing inspections for new/existing businesses located within North Las Vegas. Other services provided by Prevention are handling customer inquiries/complaints, knox box applications, hydrant/access inspections, permit fee collection (Ordinance No. 1824), temporary event permits, and hazardous material research. (Forms are available for these services at the Fire Administration Building) The Division operates under the guidelines of the NLV Fire Code Ordinance 1782, adopted May 7, 2003, effective July 7, 2003, as NLV Municipal Code Title 8.16, which includes the Southern Nevada Fire Code Amendments. Ordinance copies are available at the Fire Administration Building. Please call 702-633-2328 before 4:00 p.m. for next business day inspections.
