Fire Administration staff is housed at Central Station 51. Staff consists of the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, 2 Assistant Chiefs, 3 Battalion Chiefs, Training Supervisor, Health Care Coordinator, 3 Training Officers, Fire Protection Engineer, Prevention Supervisor, Public Education Specialist, Emergency Management Coordinator, Admin Captain, Executive Secretary, and a Fiscal Technician. The diverse areas of responsibility covered range from extensive on-going training of fire personnel, fire and life safety education for the public, supervised station tours for youth organizations, business license inspections, new construction inspections, arson investigations, emergency preparedness functions, employee wellness-fitness programs, and plan checks. The Fire Chief reports directly to the City Manager, who is responsible to City Council on behalf of the citizens of North Las Vegas. Administration business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Non-emergency calls come through 702-633-1102.
