EMS STAFF Susie Kochevar, Health Care Coordinator EMS 15 Jeff Buchanan, Captain Larry Larson, Captain Scott Morris, Captain The EMS Division, under the direction of the Assistant Fire Chief of Business and Support Services, is responsible for ensuring all North Las Vegas Fire personnel provide state of the art emergency medicine to the public. The EMS Division supports fire and rescue operations with supplies, education and research; oversees compliance with the ambulance contractor and provides medical disaster planning for the community. EMS field supervision in provided by three Captains assigned to EMS on shift under the call sign EMS 15. North Las Vegas Fire personnel serve on various local, state and national EMS committees including the National Association of EMT’s; The International Association of Fire Chiefs EMS section; the Emergency Medical Services for Children program; The Southern Nevada Safe Kids Coalition; the National Association of EMS Educators, and the American Heart Association. North Las Vegas Fire EMS operations are regulated by the Southern Nevada Health District’s EMS Division. Regional protocols and a comprehensive quality improvement program are coordinated by the Southern Nevada Health District.
