Neighborhood Stabilization Program
Substantial Amendment
The City of North Las Vegas substantial amendment to the FY 2008 HUD Consolidated
Plan’s Action Plan, for the purpose of fulfilling the application requirements to receive
Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds through U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), is available for public review and comment until November 23, 2008. As a subrecipient of Clark County, the City of North Las Vegas is submitting its Plan as part of Clark County’s Substantial Amendment Plan to HUD. The City is eligible to receive a direct allocation of $6,837,736 from HUD and a $1,814,256 pass-through allocation from the State that may be used for the purpose of: providing financial assistance to
qualified (120% adjusted median income or below) homebuyers to purchase foreclosed homes; acquiring foreclosed homes; purchasing blighted vacant property; and/or redeveloping foreclosed properties that might otherwise become sources of abandonment and blight within the community.
