Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Advises the City Council and the City Manager on the legality of various procedural matters.
  • Researches issues in connection with the development of ordinances, resolutions, and other actions of the City Council.
  • Serves as legal consultant to all City departments, commissions and boards, including the Planning Commission, North Las Vegas Library District, and Civil Service Board.
  • Gives written or oral legal opinions with respect to issues brought to its attention.
  • Defends the City in all lawsuits filed against it.
