North Las Vegas, Nevada – City officials this month confirmed Gerald Allan Zochowski for the finance director post and Alfonso Noyola to serve as administrative services director.
City Manager Timothy Hacker said he was pleased with the council’s approval of Zochowski and Noyola.
“Al Zochowski comes to us with vast experience at various levels of government finance,” Hacker said. “I believe he will bring to North Las Vegas exceptional skills that will help us achieve our financial goals.”
Zochowski has more than 30 years of experience in government operations, most recently having worked as finance director for the Village of Lake Zurich, Ill. In his career, he held numerous top-level finance positions, including budget manager for the Village of Glenview, Ill., parks and recreation business manager for the City of Yuma, Ariz., and director of finance and chief financial officer for the City of Chicago’s Department of Sewers.
Zochowski is a certified public accountant and holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree from Rosary College in River Forest, Ill. Zochowski’s annual salary will be $135,000.
“Al Noyola has shown exceptional leadership in his role as acting director of finance and administrative services,” Hacker said. “I’m pleased he is now a permanent part of the City’s executive team.”
Alfonso Noyola had been acting director of administrative services and finance for the City since June 2012.
Noyola is a retired Air Force officer and holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Wayland Baptist University in Texas and a master’s degree in public administration from Midwestern State University in Texas.
His annual salary will be $141,990.
