The City of North Las Vegas Utilities Department is donating new sports equipment for physical education classes that benefit more than 750 students at Cahlan-Edison Elementary School, an Edison Learning Institute.
The Utilities Department will present the donation at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the school at 2801 Fort Sumter Dr. Utilities Department employees have been collecting items to donate to the adjacent school for the past two weeks. They have collected more than $1,000 worth of sports equipment.
"Cahlan-Edison has been a great neighbor to the Utilities Department for more than 10 years,” Utilities Director David Bereskin said. “It pleases me that our employees are giving back to the children in the community by making it their mission to donate new sporting equipment for the students to enjoy."
