ROAD CONSTRUCTION
North Las Vegas, Nevada – Public Works officials today announced the following road construction updates.
Carey Avenue Bridge
The Carey Avenue Bridge over Interstate 15 will reopen to four lanes beginning Nov. 12. The bridge has been closed since Sept. 1 as part of the Nevada Department of Transportation’s project to expand Interstate 15. Interim closures of the outside lanes are expected as the project continues.
Lake Mead Boulevard
Lake Mead Boulevard will be closed from Losee Road to Yale Street, except for emergency vehicle access lanes, beginning Nov. 12, as crews continue work improving the road under the I-15 bridge. This portion of the project is expected to be complete by January.
During that time eastbound traffic on Lake Mead will have access to the southbound I-15 ramp only. After Nov. 18, westbound traffic on Lake Mead will have access to the southbound I-15 ramp only.
