The City of North Las Vegas and its Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services presents a Living Green Expo in celebration of Make a Difference Day, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Petitti Park, 2505 N. Bruce Street, near Bridger Middle School.
The event will feature free food and entertainment, a family health fair and giveaways, including free compact fluorescent light bulbs, while supplies last. Information booths will provide tips on how to save energy, reduce utility bills and protect the environment.
Make A Difference Day is the largest national day of helping others – a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. The event was created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, and is held on the fourth Saturday of every October.
Sponsors of this year’s event include NV Energy and Republic Services.
