What’s the curfew?
According to the
North Las Vegas Municipal Code Chapter 9.28.010, any person under
18 must be accompanied by his parent or guardian between the hours of
10:00 pm to 5:00 am of the succeeding day Sunday through Thursday and
12 midnight to 5:00 am of the succeeding day Friday and Saturday.

How can I obtain a
library card?
If you are over 18, please bring a picture ID and a proof of a local
address to the library at 2300 Civic Center Drive during library hours.
The first card is free. Payment for lost cards is $1.00. The library
card obtained at this library is valid for all other libraries in the
State of Nevada. If you are under 18, please bring your parent and his/her
picture ID and proof of local address with you. You must be able to
sign your name. When you first obtain your card, you will be able to
check out two items. When you return those two items you may check out
up to 20 items. Except for the first time a card is used, each family
is allowed to check out three videos at a time. Our videos check out
for three days. Books and other items check out for three weeks. Fines
are charged for all late items. Your library card is necessary to use
our Internet computers and our computer lab.
What are the boundaries of North Las Vegas?
The City of North Las Vegas is primarily bound by the following roadways:
On the South: Coran Lane/Lake Mead Boulevard between Rancho Drive and
Comstock Drive; Carey Avenue between Comstock Drive and Revere Street;
Lake Mead Boulevard between Revere Street and Commerce Street; and Owens
Avenue between Commerce Street and Pecos Road.
On the West: Rancho Drive between Coran Lane and Cheyenne Avenue; Cheyenne
Avenue between Rancho Drive and Decatur Boulevard; Decatur Boulevard
between Cheyenne Avenue and Moccasin Road.
On the North: Moccasin Road between Decatur Boulevard and Lamb Boulevard;
Grand Teton Drive from Lamb Boulevard to North Las Vegas Boulevard.
On the East: Pecos Road between Owens Avenue and Craig Road; Craig
Road between Pecos Road and Lamb Boulevard; Lamb Boulevard between Craig
Road and I-15, I-15 to 7 miles east of Lamb Boulevard.

How can I get a copy of a police report or accident report?.
Since all Police reports have to be processed through records first,
please wait at least 24 hours from the time the crime was reported before
trying to get a copy of a Police report. Please wait at least 48 hours
to get a copy of an accident report. You must bring a valid state or
city photo ID (Driver’s license or work card). Copies are $1.00 per
page. The Records Bureau
is located at 1301 E. Lake Mead Blvd.

You must bring a State photo ID, your social security card, and the
employer’s referral slip. If you are not a US citizen you must bring
your green card or alien registration. The work card section is open
Monday through Thursday 8:30 A.M. to 4 P.M
How can I arrange for a sit-a-long in the Dispatch Center and learn more
about becoming a Police Dispatcher or Police Call Taker?
You can call and speak with any Supervisor in the Dispatch Center (633-1390)
to arrange a sit-a-long and see what being a dispatcher or call taker
is all about. This is available 24 hours a day, 7-days a week. A sit-a-long
is limited to a maximum of 2 hours.
